BIOGRAPHY

I started painting as a teenager in my parents’ garage amidst a supply of groceries, which was stored there because we lived in a small rented flat. At the time I painted on Masonite, which was then a popular surface. I entered various art prizes, won a couple, and hoped one day to become a painter.

In my early 20's I left Australia, living first in London, then Tel Aviv. Then in 1983 I went to live in New York City and stayed for 18 years.
I eventually returned to Australia and in 2006 decided to study Visual Arts (TAFE Nepean Arts & Design Centre).

I attained my Diploma in Fine Arts part-time over a period of 4 years. Since then I have become a full-time painter with my own studio where I spend most days.
